Just got my delivery and Holy YummieneSsS the best turkey hero I've had in a Long Time! I'm all the way on Bergen Beach and my hero still arrived fresh, crispy bread without the usual soggyness. "The Works" was pure perfection and just enough of everything ! My Go to place for a really great sandwich thank you for the consistency!
Worked in this neighborhood last Sunday. Not much open in area and stumbled onto Jimmy's. What an amazing place. Old school kind of deli that made the best sandwich I've had in a long time. Friendly staff. Place was filled with fresh tomatoes so naturally added to sandwich. Roast beef and Swiss, mayo, tomato and salt and pepper. Wow.
Food: The subs here are made fresh and delicious. My favorites are the chicken parm hero and the Italian sub. They have a variety of cold and hot subs, macaroni and potato salads, chips, and cannolis. Sub are made right in front of you and you can customize your sub the way you want with lettuce, tomato, onion, salt, pepper, oil, and vinegar. The potato salad is your typical potato salad that you can purchase in the large tubs from a supermarket. Service: Staff are delightful here and welcoming! Ambiance: This sub shop doesn't have seating so you can order your subs and take it to go. Overall, I recommend this place!
Growing up in Sheepshead Bay, us as kids/teens swore it was the greatest. As I got older and realized it was Boar's Head meat, I started asking questions. No doubt it is very good and reasonably priced but better than the bodegas only because it's not a bodega and the bread is better. He also has the turnover keeping the stock fresh. One buddy swears it's the spices they use - meh. All said, my chicken cutlet with Mozz was very good. Best to see for yourself, you won't go wrong, you just might not be blown away. He would get the 5 stars if the meat was homemade - at least the roast beef and chicken cutlet.
The BEST sandwich shop in brooklyn, we've tried all the hero spots that were recommended but jimmy's takes the cake. Fresh cuts , all the works and prompt service is all you need in a great sandwich shop. Highly highly recommend this spot to anyone catering an event.
BEST SPOT IN BROOKLYN AND IN THE ENTIRE CITY!!! You MUST come here, I've ordered so many times this year with Jimmy''s and every single order was made to perfection!! Extremely FRESH high quality hero's and their macaroni salad and their potato salad is a MUST have. If you are looking for a signature hero that represents New York City this is the perfect spot and you will definitely get your moneys worth. I don't know how they're able to perfect their macaroni salad, but it is truly one of the best I've ever had, and every single opportunity I can splurge, I always pick up some. The staff is amazing and they make every single dish is made out of love. You can literally taste it lol I truly hope this gem will stay open forever because it is the perfect representation of Brooklyn
This sandwich shop is hands down THE best in southern Brooklyn! I just keep coming back for their chicken cutlet hero (chef's kiss). Placed an order for cookies/chips to be added, only to find out that they were unavailable at the moment...got a call back from Frank (nicest guy ever), who offered cannoli & coleslaw instead. Can't praise them enough. Food is always fresh and delicious. Love them. You gotta visit this wonderful shop!!
A nice local spot that you don't see much anymore around Sheepshead Bay. You'll get a nice size hero made with Boars Head. Service is friendly and fast. Check them out on a Jimmy Kimmel sketch
